Rancocas Creek Greenway Trail
Amico Island to Pennington Park

Burlington County, NJ

TDG completed the feasibility study, design, permitting, construction documents and bid specifications for the Rancocas Creek Greenway Trail from Amico Island Park to Pennington Park for the Burlington County Department of Resource Conservation. The trail passes through the Townships of Delran, Riverside, and Delanco. TDG was the lead consultant of a team that included: Surveyors, Civil Engineers, Cultural Resource Specialists, Geotechnical Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Environmentalists.

The 4.0 mile multi-user trial is a portion of a larger trail that will eventually span 30 miles along the Rancocas Creek and connect to the larger "Circuit" trial network beyond Burlington County. This segment includes both on and off-road segments that link two existing County parks as it passes through three communities and several residential neighborhoods. The trail also connects to two RiverLine light rail transit stations, as well as local bus routes, making the trail a critical part of a multimodal transportation network. The off-road portion offers spectacular waterfront views as it passes along the edge of the Rancocas Creek and through adjacent meadows and shaded woods. The on-road portions wind through local, tree lined, neighborhood streets. Features include a new trailhead, parking, picnic area, overlook, bridges, signage, site furniture, and landscape plantings.
