Crystal Lake Park has been transformed through a comprehensive redesign that emphasizes ecological restoration, accessibility, and community recreation. As landscape architects, our role focused on balancing the park’s natural character with modern amenities to create a resilient and enduring public space.

The design integrates a cohesive trail system that improves circulation throughout the site and enhances connections to the lake, woodlands, and surrounding neighborhoods. Grading and stormwater strategies were carefully considered to improve site drainage, protect water quality, and support long-term sustainability.

Native plantings and habitat enhancements restore ecological function, strengthen biodiversity, and establish a resilient landscape framework. At the same time, new park amenities—including flexible gathering lawns, accessible pathways, and strategically placed overlooks—expand opportunities for recreation and community use. Through a thoughtful design process, Crystal Lake Park now serves as a model for integrating ecological stewardship with community-centered recreation, ensuring its role as a valuable public asset for years to come.
