The newly redesigned Bay Park Marina enhances one of Avalon’s key waterfront destinations with a focus on resilience, functionality, and community enjoyment. Our team served as landscape architects for the project, leading the transformation of the marina into a modern, accessible, and environmentally responsible facility.

The redesign strengthens the marina’s role as both a recreational and civic asset. Circulation and docking areas were reconfigured to improve efficiency and accommodate a wide range of users, while durable materials were selected to withstand coastal conditions and minimize long-term maintenance.

Waterfront public spaces were carefully integrated into the design, offering new seating areas, pedestrian connections, and shaded gathering spaces that encourage visitors to experience the marina beyond boating. Native coastal plantings and stormwater management strategies further reinforce the marina’s resilience to flooding and sea level rise while enhancing the ecological character of the shoreline.

Through thoughtful design and detailing, Bay Park Marina has been reimagined as a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable destination that supports Avalon’s community and visitors alike.
