TDG has assisted Riverside in its redevelopment efforts in three major transit-oriented redevelopment areas proximate to the RiverLINE Station. TDG completed a Strategic Plan, redevelopment area determination report and redevelopment plan for the Central Business District as well as a rehabilitation plan for the entire Township that focuses on compatible infill development. These projects were funded in part by TCDI grants from DVRPC.

Concept plans depicting re-design of the municipal building, library and public parking parcels as well as several key intersections were prepared. The impact of the residential redevelopment areas on municipal systems including schools, affordable housing and infrastructure was assessed, and zoning and design standards for the downtown and neighborhood infill were created. 

 

Planning in Riverside has involved a series of public visioning workshops and a Community Image Survey, as well as contact and coordination with municipal service providers such as the Superintendent of Schools, the library and emergency service providers. A wayfinding signage plan was also prepared.
